 Mrs. Preneet Kaur, Member of Parliament, Patiala said that the Modi Government should realize that if the three laws enacted for the farmers were so good then the farmers did not need to struggle. So, these laws should be repealed. She said that yesterday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had met the President of India to repeal the black laws on agriculture enacted by the Union government but the treatment meted out to the Congress MPs and others who want to hold a march in a peaceful manner, was also reprehensible.
     Mrs. Preneet Kaur accompanied by the Cabinet Minister.  Sadhu Singh Dharamsot was here today at Saholi village to attend the last prayer (Antim Ardas) of farmer Pal Singh, who died during the struggle on the Singhu border.
        Mrs. Preneet Kaur said that we have stood firmly and will continue to stand with the farmers in this peaceful struggle for fulfillment of their rightful demands and repeal of the three black laws related to agriculture. She said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had already decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. five lakh each to the families of deceased farmers who lost their precious lives during the ongoing struggle.
       Paying homage to farmer Pal Singh, the Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that the struggle started by the farmers has now taken the form of mass movement and every section of the society has joined hands and stood by the food growers.  He said that this struggle was for the survival of generations barring any party, sect or religion and hence it was now being supported by people from all walks of life.
        Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that an ex gratia grant of Rs five lakh has already been given to the family. On the occasion, Mr.  Amrit Partap Singh Honey Sekhon OSD/CM, Punjab Congress General Secretary Mahant Harwinder Singh Khanora, Chairman Market Committee Nabha Jagjit Singh Duladi, Chairman Market Committee Bhadson Paramjit Singh, Chairman  Improvement Trust Nabha Amandeep Singh and a large number of local Panchs and Sarpanches besides representatives of farmers unions were present.
